Check out our cheese “mille feuille” with apple brandy, a perfect entertaining idea for the holidays!

Serves: 4 Prep. time: 15′ Cooks in: 5′ Ready in: 20′

3 slices manouri cheese*
1 shot apple brandy
1 red apple, cored, thinly sliced
2 tbsp butter
1 cup raw almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts, crushed

* Manouri is a Greek semi-soft, fresh white whey cheese made from goat or sheep milk. Use goat cheese instead.

Step 1
In a non-stick frying pan melt 1 tbsp butter and cook apple slices on both sides for a few mins., carefully not to break them. Drizzle with brandy and ignite, shaking the pan gently until the flame subsides.

Step 2
Place cheese slices one on top of the other, with apple slices in-between. Brush ” mille-feuille ” with melted butter and sprinkle with nuts. Grill for a few mins on high heat and serve immediately.
