The first restaurant with unique flavors on the menu -inspired by the history of Greece and based on local ingredients- opened a few weeks ago in the island’s city centre. In a private courtyard situated on the beach, delicious breakfast, brunch and dinner are served not only to hotel guests but also to every enthusiastic visitor.
Award-winning chef and consultant Pavlos Kyriakis launched the menu while chef patron is the Michelin star decorated chef Sotiris Matsoukas (of Varoulko Seaside restaurant, Athens).
Hotel breakfast includes feta cheese and spinach pies, homemade bread and jams, exquisite Greek yoghurt and fresh fruit full of aromas and flavors. Among them, several international standard choices such as perfect Benedict eggs accompanied by Greek wild rocket.
The main dishes reflect the high quality of local raw materials. The list is more than satisfying, incorporating some amazing ingredients. The risotto with beetroot and Greek goat cheese, in vivid red color, was impressive. The Greek version of risotto, cooked with barley that included calf tail and smoked cheese from Metsovo, was one of the most delicious suggestions.
If you love fresh fish, you will definitely enjoy the catch of the day. Served with local wild asparagus and various wild greens and extra virgin olive oil are simply to die for. The free range lamb with eggplant purée was absolutely mouthwatering.
The menu will be enriched soon to include more seafood dishes. Service is impeccable and immediate!
