These charcoal-grilled fruit skewers make eating fruit exciting! They make one of the most versatile dessert if you serve it with chocolate or ice cream. They even make an excellent side dish recipe with a nice glass of wine or beer and cheese. Dare pair it with grilled chicken and enjoy a healthy meal!

Ingredients
various fruits e.g. melon, peach, nectarine, prune (pitted), pineapple etc., diced
bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30′
For marinating
2 cups orange juice
5 tbsp apricot jam
3 tbsp melted butter or sunflower
For serving
chocolate sauce, ice cream or red fruit sauce
Method
Step 1
In a large bowl toss all fruit with marinade liquid and allow to soak for 30′ in the fridge. Thread fruit on skewers alternating each fruit type and color. Leave grapes and prunes whole.
Step 2
Place skewers on your BBQ grill and cook over medium-high heat for 2 minutes on each side or until browned and caramelized. Serve warm as an appetizer or with a nice glass of cold beer along with cheese.
