There’s nothing like this juicy, this full of chocolate, piece of chocolate heaven! The excitement of preparing it and tasting it hot out of the oven drizzled with sauce is unparalleled. For those we want it, a scoop of vanilla ice cream will most happily find its way on top of the first piece! Or on the second one…

Ingredients
225 g butter
225 chocolate, chopped
450 g granulated sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
150 flour, soft
75 g walnuts, chopped or finely chopped
For the chocolate sauce
500 g melted chocolate, finely chopped
750 ml single cream 35%
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven at 180οC. Prepare a bain marie. Place a medium pan filled with 4 cups of water on medium heat. Heat until the water simmers. Lower down heat. Position a smaller ovenproof or metal bowl on the rim of the pan (its bottom mustn’t touch the water. Tip butter and chocolate
in the bowl and allow to melt, stirring occasionally with a silicone spoon. Remove pan from heat and bowl from the pan.
Step 2
In another bowl beat eggs with sugar until well combined. Stir in melted butter and chocolate. Then stir in flour, baking powder and walnuts. When all ingredients combine well transfer mix in a baking dish buttered and lined with baking parchment. Bake for 35 minutes.
Step 3
In the meantime prepare the chocolate sauce: Place chocolate a bowl and heat cream in pan. When it comes to a boil pour over chocolate. Allow to sit for 2 minutes and then stir with a silicone spoon.
Step 4
Take the pie out of the oven and pour with chocolate sauce. Serve immediately.
