Whip up these easy bars for a very good-for-you homemade snack or quick breakfast.

120g egg whites
140g confectioner’s sugar
45g all-purpose flour, sifted
130g coconut grated
100g dried figs, finely chopped
120g milk chocolate, finely chopped
70g old fashioned oats
80g honey
90g dark chocolate for drizzling


Step 1
Preheat oven to 150C and line a 20×30 baking pan with baking parchment.

Step 2
Beat egg whites to a meringue. With a spatula fold in sugar. Then fold in the rest of the ingredients.

Step 3
Transfer mixture in the pan even the surface using a spatula and bake for 40 minutes. In the meantime melt dark chocolate in bain-marie or microwave.

Step 4
Remove pan from the oven and let cool. Score in rectangles and drizzle with melted chocolate. Store bars in a cookie box.
