Let your simple marinade work its magic and enjoy these Mediterranean juicy skewers loaded with sausage, chicken, vegetables and halloumi cheese! They will satisfy all hearty appetites!

300gr sausages
1 chicken breast
2 green peppers, washed
2 red peppers, washed
300gr halloumi cheese
1 tsp tomato paste
½ cup Greek yogurt
olive oil
lemon wedges
6 pita bread, slightly toasted
12 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 20min
salt, freshly ground black pepper


Step 1
Cut sausages, chicken, peppers and halloumi in pieces of the same size.

Step 2
Put chicken pieces in a bowl, season well with salt and pepper and toss with yogurt and tomato paste. Leave in the refrigerator to marinate for 2-3 hours.

Step 3
Thread onto the skewers, alternating sausage, vegetables, halloumi and chicken.

Step 4
Grill, turning, until vegetables are slightly softened and meat is cooked through.

Step 5
Serve on toasted pitas with lemon wedges, some hot mustard and a seasonal salad.
