Really mouthwatering combination of ingredients wrapped in pita bread! You will love this souvlaki. Your kids will, too!

Serves: 6 Prep. time: 20′ + 4h marinating Cooks in: 40′ Ready in: 60′


For the chicken:
500 g chicken breast, cut in cubes of the same size
250 g strained yogurt
1 tsp tomato puree
sweet paprika
6 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 20΄
6 flatbread pitas
extra-virgin olive oil
salt, pepper

For the yogurt sauce:
300 g strained yogurt
1 tbsp spearmint finely chopped
½ tsp mild mustard
½ tsp lemon juice
salt, pepper

For serving:
2 tomatoes, sliced, drained
1 onion, sliced
½ bunch parsley, finely chopped

Step 1
In a bowl mix all chicken ingredients and season well with salt and pepper. Cover with wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Step 2
Yogurt sauce: In a bowl mix all ingredients and refrigerate until needed.

Step 3
Preheat your grill to medium-high. Drain chicken from marinade and thread the pieces on skewers. Brush with a little oil and grill for 20΄, turning occasionally, until cooked through.

Step 4
Serve each souvlaki on one flatbread pita with yogurt sauce, some tomato, onion and parsley. Wrap and serve with some French fries.
