What a tasty soup! This tarhana dish is the perfect traditional comfort food!

Serves: 5-6 Prep. time: 10′ Cooks in: 20′ Ready in: 30′

250 gr tarhana from wheat (sour)
150 g feta cheese
1½ lt chicken stock
3 slices bacon, diced, cooked in a non-stick frying pan
1 tbsp sweet paprika
1 onion grated
2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 lemon, juiced
1/2 cup double cream
salt, pepper

Step 1
In a large pan heat oil on medium heat and cook onion until translucent, for 2 min. Stir in tarhana and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Step 2
Add stock and simmer on low heat until soup thickens. 5 minutes before removing pan from heat season with salt and pepper, paprika and drizzle with lemon juice.

Step 3
Serve soup hot with crumbled feta cheese and crispy bacon on top.
