This family meal will satisfy both grown-ups and children! The yogurt and egg mix will help create a nice crust outside the tender and juicy meat!

Ingredients
1 chicken, halved
1 garlic head, sliced horizontally
200 ml white wine
250 ml water
150 onion, finely chopped
3 bay leaves
2 pieces of star anise
1 sprig thyme
70 ml extra-virgin olive oil
salt, pepper
For finishing
3-4 eggs
500 g strained yogurt
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven at 140C/fan. Season chicken with salt and pepper. In an oven-proof pot heat oil and brown chicken in batches on all sides on high heat. Place chicken on a large platter and on the same pot cook onion, garlic, herbs and spices for 1 minutes. Add wine and water and allow to boil.
Step 2
Place chicken on top, seal with foil and cover with lid. Bake for 1 hour. Remove pan from heat and strain the liquids. Beat eggs and yogurt and stir in the liquid until well-combined. Drizzle chicken, cover with lid and bake for 25 minutes at 180C until it makes a nice crust.
